DecisionHealth Home Health Administrator’s Summit: Know Before You Go

Find me on:

The DecisionHealth Home Health Administrator’s Summit will be held at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, May 11–13, 2016. The wealth of knowledge combined with top-notch speakers make DecisionHealth events some of the highest-value conferences we attend. This year in particular, they seem to have some incredible speakers and I personally am excited to attend. In this blog, I will focus on the main conference dates, but if you can, you will not want to miss Rob Rossi from CareForce Solutions during the pre-conference on May 11. He has the unique ability to make difficult technology decisions manageable for agencies that would normally struggle to make appropriate choices.

Though all of the sessions are fantastic, here are three sessions you will not want to miss:

Uncover the secrets to running a 5-star agency

Speaker: Holly Chaffee, CEO of Porchlight VNA and Home Care

Here is a scary thought; You cannot out-market your outcome scores. No matter how great your sales and marketing efforts are, you will slowly be edged out of the running if you do not have the ratings to back it up. Many (if not all) bundled payments have rating requirements that are moving toward a model that pays for outcomes. If you underperform, you will receive less reimbursement, and the only way to receive full compensation is to deliver great outcomes. Holly will talk about reducing readmissions and improving patient satisfaction.

Overhaul operations to prepare for proposed conditions of participation

Speaker: Robert Markette, Attorney, Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman, P.C.

Bob is one of the top speakers in Medicare/Medicaid Compliance and employment law in the country. The incredible insight he brings to his sessions never fails to leave a lasting impact that is driving companies to be more compliant and succeed within legal guidelines. In this session, Bob will discuss the proposed conditions of participation and what agencies need to do to be ahead of this change.

How to build & keep your home health dream team

Speaker: Beau Sorensen, COO, First Choice Home Health & Hospice and COO at Vision Bound International Consulting

I have seen Beau as a speaker many times and he has never failed to impress. He has delivered incredible results for his agency and has shifted to helping other companies realize similar results. With a ridiculously high turnover rate, our industry is in need of the proven results that Beau will present in his session on Friday morning.

Wednesday evening at 5:00 p.m., the Exhibit Hall Grand Opening will begin. Come see me at booth #107 to discuss ways to improve your sales and marketing efforts with PlayMaker CRM!
