There are a few key home-infusion conferences throughout the country each year, but none of them is as focused or as comprehensive as NHIA’s Annual Conference. This year, the conference will be held at the Hilton Riverside in New Orleans. Not only is it a great opportunity to gain inspiration and tools to maintain and grow in your market, you can actually earn up to 26.25 pharmacy and nursing CE credit hours!
That being said, I am going to focus on the sales and management side of this conference with the top three sessions you should not miss.
Effectively Using Social Media in Sales and Marketing – 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 22nd
Speaker: Lee A. Aase, BS, Director, Center for Social Media, Mayo Clinic, Austin, MN
Social media has been the key to unlocking potential referral sources while growing your business outreach. While many of us know that on a global scale, Lee will help us to focus those efforts as an industry-specific outreach. Not only will we grasp techniques to acquire new business, but we will also discover how to strengthen the relationships we already have and keep our customer and referral source loyalty.
Understanding the Physician—Strategies that Build Confidence and Increase Selling Effectiveness – 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 22nd
Speaker: Mitchell (Mitch) Loberg, AVP-Sales and Market Development, Option Care, Lake Leelanau, MI
The best way to build referral sources is to understand them. Not to trick them, manipulate them, or convince them that you offer the very best services. Listening to what they need and positioning your services as a solution that is easy and produces quality results will set you apart from your competitors. Mitch will help you gain a grasp on understanding your physician’s workflow and teach you how to communicate with them.
Identifying and Mentoring the Next Generation of Leaders – 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 23rd
Speaker: Jennifer Charron, RN, MSN, CNE, Vice President of Clinical Operations, New England Life Care, Concord, NH
This particular session will help you to build and implement a leadership development program to foster growth with your up-and-coming superstars. This is often an area where many companies struggle and they lose some of their talent back into the market (or worse yet…to their competitors). A strategic approach to developing your leaders is the key to continuous advancement and I personally look forward to Jennifer’s unique education in this area.
Be sure to connect with Scott, Erin, and me (Jason) on Monday, March 21st for the Grand Opening Reception. It is a competitive market out there and the future will be given to those who can compete. Swing by booth #427 and let us show you how we can help.
